Several cities have already installed the Intellistreets light system, a brand of street lighting that is capable of recording video and audio of pedestrians and motorists. LED light systems go one step further and also track and record those scan enabled license plates as well as your movements and any conversations.
The manufacturer of the LED system when questioned about the possible negative implications regarding unwarranted spying and tracking of individuals jumped immediately to child safety as an excuse for developing a system clearly meant to allow unfettered and wholesale spying on the general public. Looking like the proverbial cat that swallowed the canary in the video below, even he could barely keep a straight face as he tried to use children as a cover.

Former US Teen Arrested in Riyadh

A Naval engineer was charged Friday with trying to leak drawings of the military’s new aircraft carrier to the Egyptian government, not knowing that he was dealing with an undercover FBI agent.
Federal authorities alleged in court filings that Mostafa Ahmed Awwad, 35, of Yorktown, Va., gave computer drawings of the USS Gerald R. Ford to an agent posing as an Egyptian intelligence officer and talked about where to shoot the vessel to sink it. He was charged with attempted exportation of defense articles and technical data and was ordered held after an initial appearance Friday in federal district court in Norfolk.
Awwad’s alleged plot was a startling one, potentially threatening the security of a carrier that officials have hailed as a technological marvel. The ship — which will weigh 100,000 tons and hold 4,660 staffers and 75 aircraft — is expected to cost $13 billion to complete. It is being built in Virginia.
Authorities alleged in court filings that Awwad, a civilian who worked in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard, had a secret clearance and that some of the materials he provided to the undercover agent were not supposed to be released to non-U.S. citizens, or contained technical data that was subject to U.S. export laws. The court filings stated that Awwad was born in Saudi Arabia but had married a U.S. citizen in Cairo in 2007 and went about becoming a U.S. citizen then.
It is unclear why authorities first became concerned with Awwad, but in September, an undercover agent speaking in Arabic and identifying himself as “Yousef” from Washington, D.C., called the engineer and asked to meet at a park in Hampton, Va., according to a search warrant affidavit.
Awwad, who had been working at the Norfolk shipyard since February and had the secret clearance for only about a month, agreed to meet without asking for any more information, authorities alleged in the affidavit.
The events that transpired in the following months seem drawn from the pages of a spy novel. Awwad told the agent he wanted to use his Navy position to help give military technology to Egypt, according to the affidavit. The pair met at the Sandy Bottom Nature Park in Hampton, Va., and used a dead-drop location — a secret hole in the ground off a secluded hiking trail where each could leave materials for the other to find — to avoid law enforcement detection, according to the affidavit.
They also exchanged pay-as-you-go phones and agreed to code their e-mails. Awwad, for example, used the pseudonym “Cathy Jean” and the subject line “Sick” to indicate a problem, according to the affidavit. At one meeting, Awwad flashed a .45-caliber handgun, according to the affidavit.
Awwad described to the agent a plan he had to bug his computer so that he could copy restricted materials without drawing attention, according to the affidavit. But authorities allege he also used more old-fashioned methods. At one point, he asked the agent for money to buy a pinhole camera, and he was spotted in his office at the shipyard using what appeared to be a pocket camera to take photos of an aircraft carrier’s design schematics, according to the affidavit.
The affidavit describes at least 10 drawings of the USS Ford that Awwad gave to the undercover agent.
A spokeswoman for Huntington Ingalls Industries, which is building the USS Ford, declined to comment for this story, referring inquiries to the Navy. A spokesman for the Norfolk Naval Shipyard said he was unable to comment immediately, and another Navy spokesman did not immediately respond to a message seeking comment.
No lawyer was listed for Awwad in court records, and relatives could not immediately be located.

President Sisi’s speech on Islam was one for the ages. President Obama should be working hand in hand with this reformer and US ally.

In a recent article: “Muslim Brotherhood-Aligned Leaders Hosted at State Department,” WFB, January 28, 2015, it was reported that the U.S. State Department hosted a delegation of Muslim Brotherhood-aligned leaders this week for a meeting about their ongoing efforts to oppose the current government of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi of Egypt, who rose to power following the overthrow of Mohamed Morsi, an ally of the Brotherhood, in 2013.
One member of the delegation, a Brotherhood-aligned judge in Egypt, posed for a picture while at Foggy Bottom in which he held up the Islamic group’s notorious four-finger Rabia symbol, according to his Facebook page.
That delegation member, Waleed Sharaby, is a secretary-general of the Egyptian Revolutionary Council and a spokesman for Judges for Egypt, a group reported to have close ties to the Brotherhood.
The delegation also includes Gamal Heshmat, a leading member of the Brotherhood, and Abdel Mawgoud al-Dardery, a Brotherhood member who served as a parliamentarian from Luxor.
Sharaby, the Brotherhood-aligned judge, flashed the Islamist group’s popular symbol in his picture at the State Department and wrote in a caption: “Now in the U.S. State Department. Your steadfastness impresses everyone,” according to an independent translation of the Arabic.

POLICE wish to speak to this man (SEE PICTURE) after derogatory comments about Islam were made on a bus.
The incident, described as a public order offence by police, allegedly happened on the 576 Halifax to Bradford bus, between 10pm and 10.20pm on Thursday, January 8.
The man is said to have got on the bus and sat directly behind an Asian man, before muttering his comments.

French Jihad and the Teen Factor
While public attention concentrated on the Russian-Ukrainian crisis and heating up every passing day situation in the Middle East, election race in France is gaining momentum already. The upcoming French presidential elections in April 2017 can dramatically change the political future not only of the Fifth Republic but also throughout Europe. The end of the last year was rich for France on inner political events. Nicolas Sarkozy had been elected leader of the largest opposition party in France and Marine Le Pen according to recent public opinion polls became the leader of the presidential race for now. Incumbent president Francois Hollande has shown himself incompetent in conducting the foreign policy course as well as in solving a number of major domestic problems. Hi intention to recognize Palestine as an independent state would only encourage Islamists to strengthen their hostile actions in the region and one must be either “blind” Socialist or radical Muslim to support such claims. Next issue is Mistral-class ships that are supposed to be supplied to Russia. It seems Western democracies should maintain a consistent course in relations with Russia but now it looks like Mr. Hollande decided that France should go hand to hand with the state which economy is in the verge of collapse because of its imperial ambitions. Or is it all part of the “world proletariat - unite” Socialist program? Refusal of shale gas production on the background of the oil crisis compels to think seriously about the ability of left-wing politicians to act reasonably. Right now it looks like they are guided by works of Marx and Engels that are not only obsolete in modern political realities but are absolutely utopian. That is just what could be expected from the Socialists. It is also worth mentioning that president Hollande was one of the strongest backers of the bill to legalize same-sex marriages and providing right of adoption to same-sex partners. This law was adopted even despite probably most of French were strongly disagree with its provisions. And again, empowerment of sexual minorities was one of the key points of the election program of the French Socialists. In addition in France it’s probably become a tradition that love affairs or spicy past of their Socialist president becomes public from time to time. Details of the private life of Francois Hollande fall into press regularly making head of the state the main character of numerous scandal sheets worldwide. Holland has become the most unpopular president of France for the first 100 days in office showing th obvious fact – even despite he won elections nobody could even consider how inefficient he will be in the president’s chair with his Socialist views on how things should be done in the state. In February 2013 Hollande’s popularity rating was 30% making him the most unpopular president of France since 1981, and in November this rating was only 20% making him now the least popular and the least respected president of the Fifth Republic in history. So-called “National Front” with its eccentric leader Ms. Le Pen mentioning itself as an alternative to Hollande. Asserting itself as extreme conservatives National Front and Marine Le Pen particularly use the growing support of far-right ideas in French society – that is the way how the Front is gaining new supporters and votes. But the reality is significantly different from those proclamations that declare the participants of National Front at their congresses and press-conferences. Lots of adequate Europeans are outraged by Francois Hollande’s politics but under the guise of national-patriotism in the face of Marine Le Pen hides the authoritarian Eurasianist that receiving financial support directly from Russia. Ms. Le Pen doesn’t even hide her strong Pro-Putin stance and she has repeatedly made it clear that on her opinion Moscow ins the only partner to France. She for example recognized the legitimacy of the illegal occupation of the Crimea and moreover as the leader of the National Front she blames European Union for the Ukrainian crisis and Russian invasion. “Referendum on secession from the European Union” – with this slogan Marine Le Pen started the presidential race. Anti-European position of the National Front shows clearly that we see just the “Fifth column of the Comintern” under new guise. It should be noted that real patriotic and nationalist ultra-right organizations in France strongly criticize the politics dictated by the demagogues of the National Front and also accuse the latter of the betraying of national interests of France. And recently the hypocrisy of this Front has become even more obvious – there was proved the existence of strong gay lobby in this party that prevented National Front from participation in demonstrations against same-sex marriages. French tabloid “Closer” arranged coming out for the “second man in National Front” Florian Philippot by publishing his private photos with some other man. In the same way few months ago was exposed another leading member of the Front Steeve Briois. The only possible healthy alternative for France to stay on the European way of development and progress is her ex-president Nicolas Sarkozy with his center-right views on the state and its life. Sarkozy has been re-elected as the leader of the largest opposition party “Union for a Popular Movement”. According to a preliminary data by the head of the supervisory body of the party Anne Levarde, 64,5% of UPM supporters ready to vote for Sarkozy in the presidential elections. Having failed to get re-elected to the position of the head of the state in May 2012 Sarkozy announced his retirement from politics but after a little over two years he decided to return. With taking again the post of the head of UPM Sarkozy intends to completely rebuild the party turning it into broad and modern political association. During the election campaign he actively criticized the actions of the current French President Francois Hollande and he also said that he believes in possibility of partial revision of the acclaimed law on same-sex marriage in order to prohibit the use of assisted reproductive technologies and surrogate motherhood which will give him opportunity to enlist the support of the numerous opponents of the LGBT movement. It’s impossible to disregard the transition of the founder of homosexual wing of UPM GayLib Sebastien Chenu, openly gay himself, to National Front. We are facing significant change in the French domestic political scene – a shift of center-right closer to the right wing. And National Front is increasingly proving to be left orientated. Summing up, it must be said that in the current political situation in France there are no alternatives to Nicolas Sarkozy – the other way is to fall under the authority of the Russian puppet Le Pen and her Eurasian party “National Front” that will make discord around EU and would undermine the interests of the West in the entire North Atlantic area. Nicolas Sarkozy certainly cannot be called an ideal candidate, but now there is a question of the preservation of France as an integral part of the Western world and that is much more important that any minor flaws of his as politician. We must remember that due to the Pro-Atlanticist vector of the foreign policy France has returned to NATO’s military structure that it left in 1966. Right conservative by conviction, Sarkozy favors tax and social spending cuts and he is also strong supporter of European integration. France now is at an important historical stage, its internal problems including numerous non-European immigrants, often illegal, from Africa and Middle East that will require reasonable and flexible policy from new president, probably unpopular among leftists but urgent decisions and above all commitment to the European course of development together with decisive actions. And without a doubt the only suitable candidate is Nicolas Sarkozy. Finnish Jihad.......Teen style
Cultural enrichment in comes to Finland: A Somali immigrant man with an axe on Wednesday evening attacked and hacked two men to death at a pub in Tuira area of Oulu, the police said.
The attacker rushed to the spot at about 6:00pm and chopped two people including an employee of the pub with an axe indiscriminately.
The police on late Wednesday night captured the man suspected of the killings.
The suspect was apparently nabbed at Myllyoja neighbourhood in Oulu, where a huge police operation was under way.
News agency STT had earlier reported that one of the victims of the axe killing was inside the pub while the other one was outside.

Does his heart burst with pride when millions of American flags wave on a National holiday – or is he moved to sadness and reflection when someone plays "taps" on a trumpet?
Has he ever felt the depth of our admiration of the military, as lovers of those who keep America free feel when soldiers march by?
It is doubtful – because Obama did not grow up sharing our experiences or our values. He did not sit at the knee of a grandfather or uncle who showed his medals and told of the bravery of his fellow troops as they fought and tramped through foreign lands sacrificing for a cause greater than their own lives. He didn't have grandparents who told stories of suffering and then coming to America, penniless, and the opportunities they had for building a business and life for their children.
Away from this country as a young child, Obama didn't delight in being part of America and its greatness. He wasn't singing our patriotic songs in kindergarten, or standing on the roadside for a holiday parade and eating a hot dog, or lighting sparklers around a campfire on July 4th as fireworks exploded over head, or placing flags on the gravesites of fallen and beloved American heroes.
Rather Obama was separated from all of these experiences. He doesn't really understand us and what it means to be an American. He is void of the basic emotions that most feel regarding this country and is insensitive to the instinctive pride we have in our national heritage. His opinions were formed by those who either envied us or wanted him to devalue the United States and the traditions and patriotism that unite us.
Obama has never given a speech that is filled with calm, reassuring, complimentary, heartfelt statements about all the people in the U.S. Or one that inspires us to be better, grateful, and proud that, in a short time, our country became a leader, and a protector of so many. Quite the contrary, his speeches always degenerate into mocking, ridiculing tirades as he faults our achievements ,along with any of his critics, all for the sake of a laugh, or to bolster his ego. He uses his Office to threaten and create fear while demeaning and degrading anyone who opposes his policies and actions. Unlike a secure leader, who has noble self-esteem and not false confidence, Obama displays a cocky, haughty attitude and a dread of being critiqued.
Mostly, his time seems to be spent causing dissention, unrest, and anxiety among the people rather than uniting us (even though he was presented to us as the "Great Uniter"). He creates chaos for the sake of keeping citizens separated, envious, aggrieved and ready to argue. Under his leadership Americans have been kept on edge, rather than in a state of comfort and security. He incites people to be aggressive toward, disrespectful of, and retaliate against those of differing backgrounds and views. Through such behavior, Obama has lowered the standards for self-control and mature restraint to the level of rowdy, street-fighting gangs. When, instead, he should be raising the bar for people to strive toward becoming more considerate, tolerant, self-disciplined, self-sustaining, and self-assured.
Not a day goes by that he is not attempting to defy our laws, remove our rights, over-ride established procedures, install controversial appointees, enact divisive mandates, and assert a dictatorial form of power.
Never has there been a leader of this great land who used such tactics to harm and hurt the people and this country.
Never have we had a President who spoke with a caustic, evil tongue against the citizenry rather than present himself as a soothing, calming, and trustworthy force.
Never, in this country, have we experienced how much stress one man can cause a nation of people – on a daily basis!

Bergdahl a Chump
Seven months after the military began an investigation into the disappearance of Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl and his capture by the Taliban, which held him for five years, a new report indicates Army officials have determined Bergdahl — for whom the administration traded five top Gitmo-held terrorists — will be charged as a deserter.
Retired Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer, a senior fellow at the London Center for Policy Research, made the startling claim during an appearance on “The O’Reilly Factor” on Fox News:
Bergdahl’s attorney has received the charges, according to Shaffer, who claims the Obama administration is withholding the report.
O’Reilly said the White House has had this information for a while but has been delaying it under the auspices of Ben Rhodes, assistant national security adviser.
“This is shaping up to be a Titanic struggle behind the scenes,” Shaffer said. “Believe me, the Army here wants to do the right thing. Factually, there’s no way they can not do the right thing regarding Bergdahl. And the White House, because of the political narrative, President Obama cozying up to the parents and because he, President Obama, releasing the five Taliban. … The narrative is what the White House does not want to have come out.”
Bergdahl was recovered in Afghanistan by U.S. troops in a controversial swap for five Taliban officials on May 31. He had disappeared from his small patrol base on June 30, 2009, under a cloud of suspicion and fear as it became clear he been captured by militants.
The Army in June launched a new investigation into Bergdahl’s disappearance and capture, amid a raft of accusations from his fellow soldiers that he walked away from his unit on the battlefield and questions about whether the Obama administration handled the prisoner swap legally.
On Jan. 11, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen. Martin Dempsey, said he anticipated a decision “fairly soon” on whether the Army would court martial Bergdahl for deserting his post.
“In White House terms, not charging Bergdahl means that he was indeed worth the trade for the Taliban Five. But charging him on any level means that releasing the five Taliban was an error of monstrous proportions, one the administration will never be able to explain away satisfactorily,” said retired Lt. Col. Bill Cowen in a commentary written for the Fox News site.
Former Sgt. Matt Vierkant told CNN last year, “Bowe Bergdahl deserted during a time of war, and his fellow Americans lost their lives searching for him.”
“I don’t understand,” Vierkant added, “why we’re trading prisoners at Gitmo for somebody who deserted during a time of war, which is an act of treason.”
A full 54 percent of Americans agreed in a June 2014 poll, saying Obama’s swap for Bergdahl amounted to providing aid to terrorists – which violates federal law. And they said impeachment is deserved.
In June, WND reported an explosive charge emerged – that Bergdahl’s fellow soldiers had orders to shoot him on sight as a deserter.
A number of damning charges against Bergdahl came from soldiers who served with him. Some were posted on Facebook.
The soldiers wrote anonymously, saying the Pentagon had them sign nondisclosure statements after Bergdahl disappeared from his post in Afghanistan in 2009. Some said they were still on active duty.
WND also reported a four-year-old claim by a Taliban commander that Bergdahl wasn’t just a deserter but also a traitor who converted to Islam and taught jihadi fighters how to make bombs and ambush convoys.
Afghan intelligence officials believed Bergdahl was “cooperating with the Taliban” and advising fighters at a base in Pakistan.
A comment posted by a soldier who says he served with Bergdahl confirmed the charge.
“What you have is pretty well spot on,” the post says. “All I know is that our orders were kill on contact and then we came back and it was covered up. I’ve personally been threatened a few times that discussing it in half the detail you already have was considered an act of treason.”
Another post made clear the Army considered Berdahl not just a deserter but a defector.
“My battalion took over the AO from 25th. The story of Bergdahl being a defector is exactly what was briefed to us and I also read the debrief report about the situation. The story is 100% correct. I’ve personally been on a few missions following up on Bergdahls location but we never found anything. I currently live an hour away from his family’s location. Hailey, Idaho, is a resort town frequented by movie stars etc. They typically side with the anti-war side of politics in that area and is a perfect spot for him to live in solitude.”
Another post that said Bergdahl deserted came from someone who said he was directly involved in the attempted recovery of Bergdahl.
“Here is what I know, not from hearsay, but because I was there. Bergdahl became a sympathizer, walked off his post to seek out the Taliban in order to join their ranks, to help and live with them. In exchange for his release, the United States released the following 5 known Taliban; Khairullah Khairkhwa, Mullah Norullah Noori, Mullah Norullah Noori, Abdul Haq Wasiq, Mohammed Nabi who were immediately welcomed back into the Taliban network. The Taliban are currently seeking the release of additional prisoners, but will not state specifics. Now that they have the blue print on how to accomplish this by simply capturing an American soldier and with the troop number drawing down to 9,800+, I can only hope our service men and women keep their heads on a swivel.”

The No Go Zones for Muslim Teens
The “no-go zones” in some Western nations, where law enforcement has lost control because of the influence of Islamic law, are coming to America.
That’s according to several Islam experts interviewed by WND who believe the kind of Muslim enclaves that have developed in Europe due to a lack of assimilation will eventually arise in the U.S. as the Muslim population grows.
The contention that “no-go” zones exist is controversial, as evidenced by the widespread ridicule that arose when an analyst said in a Fox News interview shortly after the Charlie Hebdo terrorist attack in Paris that the major English city of Birmingham was a “no-go” zone itself.
The analyst apologized, but only for exaggerating his point, not for asserting “no-go” zones exist.
As WND reported, the government of France has identified 751 Zones Urbaines Sensibles, or Sensitive Urban Zones, that the state does not fully control, citing Middle East foreign policy expert Daniel Pipes, director of the Middle East Forum.
The zones are enclaves where Muslim immigrants have chosen not to assimilate, and law enforcement has lost some degree of control.
Republican Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal recently told Fox News interviewer Neil Cavuto that the zones are inevitable in America if the country doesn’t insist that immigrant Muslims assimilate.
He said Islamists are setting up their own culture within the United States “to overturn our culture.”
“We need to recognize that threat,” he insisted.
He said there are neighborhoods that could be defined as a no-go zone.
“You can call them whatever term you want, but absolutely there are neighborhoods, we have communities of people that don’t want to integrate or assimilate,” he said.
Islam analyst and expert Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch told WND the zones “aren’t here.”
“But they’re coming as the Muslim population grows,” he warned. “We already see areas such as Dearborn, Michigan: It isn’t a no-go zone — police don’t fear to enter there and non-Muslims aren’t menaced for non-adherence to Shariah norms — but police did the bidding of the Muslim community a couple of years ago and arrested some Christian missionaries solely for the crime of preaching to Muslims. A Shariah crime, not a crime according to any U.S. law.”
David Yerushalmi of the American Freedom Law Center, which has fought legal battles over the Dearborn disputes, said there aren’t any no-go zones in American right now, but Dearborn comes close.
There, evangelical Christians were attacked with rocks and bottles by a Muslim crowd for talking about their faith on public property during an annual Arab festival. When police arrived, they ordered the Christians to leave or face arrest.
Several legal cases over the incident have been resolved in favor of the Christians, but a major one, handled by AFLC, is still under way. It has been granted the highly unusual step of a hearing before a full federal appeals court, which previously denied the Christians’ claims.
Yerushalmi said there have been times when first responders have declined to go into certain riot areas for a time because it “would incite the crowd to more violence.”
He said there aren’t the numbers of Muslims in the U.S. population at the moment to form such no-go-zones.
“However, you have demographics which are changing,” he warned.
Islam analyst Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs not only believes the zones are coming, she’s already prepared a strategy to fight them.
“There aren’t large-scale no-go zones here as there are in Europe, but they are coming, because Islam by its very nature is against assimilation into a kaffir (non-Muslim) society. It is supremacist at its core – Islam must dominate and not be dominated,” she told WND.
“So while Muslims have assimilated here to a greater degree than they have in Europe, there are growing Muslim areas in some cities (Dearborn, Newark, etc.) and these will continue to grow. Then there are rural Muslim camps where firearms training and other alarming things have been reported,” she said.
She asserted the U.S. should end immigration from Muslim countries.
Geller argued “there is no reliable way to tell a jihadist or jihadi sympathizer from a ‘moderate.’”
She called on Muslim groups in the U.S. “to renounce the aspects of Islam that contradict constitutional freedoms, or face sedition charges if they try to advance those elements.”
Geller said that when the U.S. Muslim population “grows to the levels we see in European countries, we will face exactly the same thing that Europe is experiencing now.”
Her 18 points to address the problem include:
1. Profiling of Muslims at airports and in hiring in professions in which national security and public safety could be compromised.
2. Investigating foreign funding for mosques in the U.S.
3. Watching for mosques where violence is advocated.
4. we need an accurate depiction of Islam and its violent doctrines in school textbooks.
5. Stopping foreign aid for countries using Shariah, or Islamic law.
6. Denying citizenship to those who support Shariah. Onetime Muslim terrorist Walid Shoebat has posted a piece online by Keith Davies explaining that no-go zones in the U.K. are areas where even serious crimes are not reported, because they are handled by Shariah rather than British law enforcement.
“Numerous murders and rapes are not reported in these no-go zones because of local justice systems,” he wrote.
WND reported last year that President Obama had thanked Muslims for “building the very fabric of our nation” and claiming they were in part responsible for “the core of our democracy.”
But his comments didn’t align with statements from some of the Founders.
For example, in 1801, President Jefferson sent the Navy to the Barbary Coast to stop Islamic pirates’ reign of terror on U.S. merchant ships. Jefferson read the Quran to understand what was motivating the pirates, and he learned that the Muslim holy book commanded the faithful to “plunder and enslave” non-Muslims.
In 1814, after Tripoli broke its truce and began attacking U.S. ships again, former President John Adams wrote Jefferson a letter advising that Islam’s founder was “a military fanatic.” In another writing, he condemned Islamic law as “contemptible.”
His son and future president, John Quincy Adams, went further, arguing that the essence of Islam is “violence and lust: to exalt the brutal over the spiritual part of human nature.” He suggested the Quran’s commands to fight and conquer other lands “in the cause of Allah” were at odds with democracy, peace and the Judeo-Christian ethic on which America was founded.
“The precept of the Koran is perpetual war against all who deny that Muhammad is the prophet of God,” he added. “The vanquished may purchase their lives by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to propagate the Muslim creed by the sword is always obligatory, when it can be made effective. The commands of the prophet may be performed alike by fraud or by force.”
Amid the controversy over the recent Islamic terrorism in Paris, Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo said she may sue Fox News for its references to no-go zones in the city.
Pipes said that as far back as 2006 that France’s Sensitive Urban Zones ranged from two zones in the medieval town of Carcassonne to 12 in the heavily Muslim city of Marseilles. Most towns and cities have at least one, he said.
Pipes regularly has updated a 2006 post citing references by politicians, civil leaders and journalists to “no-go zones” in Britain, Germany and Sweden, as well as France.
Soeren Kern, senior fellow of the Gatestone Institute, wrote in 2011, “Islamic extremists are stepping up the creation of ‘no-go’ areas in European cities.”
“Many of the ‘no-go’ zones function as microstates governed by Islamic Shariah law,” he wrote. “Host-country authorities effectively have lost control in these areas and in many instances are unable to provide even basic public aid such as police, fire fighting and ambulance services.”
And Spencer noted that in 2002, the New York Times’ David Ignatius wrote of France that “Arab gangs regularly vandalize synagogues here, the North African suburbs have become no-go zones at night, and the French continue to shrug their shoulders.”
Jindal also referenced the zones in a speech in London last weekend.
He said in his prepared remarks that “in the West, non-assimilationist Muslims establish enclaves and carry out as much of Shariah law as they can without regard for the laws of the democratic countries which provided them a new home.”
“It is startling to think that any country would allow, even unofficially, for a so-called ‘no-go zone,’” Jindal said. “The idea that a free country would allow for specific areas of its country to operate in an autonomous way that is not free and is in direct opposition to its laws is hard to fathom.”
The Council on American-Islamic Relations in Washington, a “civil rights” group founded as a front by the Muslim Brotherhood, according to the FBI, expressed disappointment in what it called “Muslim bashing.” -

Islam analyst and expert Robert Spencer of Jihad Watch told WND the zones “aren’t here.”
“But they’re coming as the Muslim population grows,” he warned. “We already see areas such as Dearborn, Michigan: It isn’t a no-go zone — police don’t fear to enter there and non-Muslims aren’t menaced for non-adherence to Shariah norms — but police did the bidding of the Muslim community a couple of years ago and arrested some Christian missionaries solely for the crime of preaching to Muslims. David Yerushalmi of the American Freedom Law Center, which has fought legal battles over the Dearborn disputes, said there aren’t any no-go zones in American right now, but Dearborn comes close.
There, evangelical Christians were attacked with rocks and bottles by a Muslim crowd for talking about their faith on public property during an annual Arab festival. When police arrived, they ordered the Christians to leave or face arrest.
Several legal cases over the incident have been resolved in favor of the Christians, but a major one, handled by AFLC, is still under way. It has been granted the highly unusual step of a hearing before a full federal appeals court, which previously denied the Christians’ claims.
Yerushalmi said there have been times when first responders have declined to go into certain riot areas for a time because it “would incite the crowd to more violence.”
He said there aren’t the numbers of Muslims in the U.S. population at the moment to form such no-go-zones.

Islam analyst Pamela Geller of Atlas Shrugs not only believes the zones are coming, she’s already prepared a strategy to fight them.
“There aren’t large-scale no-go zones here as there are in Europe, but they are coming, because Islam by its very nature is against assimilation into a kaffir (non-Muslim) society. It is supremacist at its core – Islam must dominate and not be dominated,” she told WND.
“So while Muslims have assimilated here to a greater degree than they have in Europe, there are growing Muslim areas in some cities (Dearborn, Newark, etc.) and these will continue to grow. Then there are rural Muslim camps where firearms training and other alarming things have been reported,” she said.
She asserted the U.S. should end immigration from Muslim countries.
Geller argued “there is no reliable way to tell a jihadist or jihadi sympathizer from a ‘moderate.’”
She called on Muslim groups in the U.S. “to renounce the aspects of Islam that contradict constitutional freedoms, or face sedition charges if they try to advance those elements.”
Geller said that when the U.S. Muslim population “grows to the levels we see in European countries, we will face exactly the same thing that Europe is experiencing now.”
Her 18 points to address the problem include:
1. Profiling of Muslims at airports and in hiring in professions in which national security and public safety could be compromised.
2. Investigating foreign funding for mosques in the U.S.
3. Watching for mosques where violence is advocated.
4. we need an accurate depiction of Islam and its violent doctrines in school textbooks.
5. Stopping foreign aid for countries using Shariah, or Islamic law.
6. Denying citizenship to those who support Shariah. Gangnam Illegal?
A group of Muslim girls in Malaysia were threatened with arrest Wednesday after a video emerged showing them hugging members of K-pop boy band B1A4, local media reported.

Malaysian Islamic civil law includes strict codes of conduct when it comes to public displays of affection.
"This video shows how many of our (Muslim) girls are ignorant about our religion and do not know the boundaries..." said one Facebook user.
"The girls should be punished," another said.
A local Islamic group is claiming K-pop is part of a Christian agenda to infiltrate and influence young Muslims.
Amid the controversy, a satirical cartoon with Malay language captions appeared on Facebook, glorifying women who joined Islamic militants in Syria but condemning female Muslim K-pop fans as degrading the religion. It had received more than 13,000 likes by Wednesday afternoon.
While many condemned the girls' actions, others felt authorities were overreacting.
Prominent human rights activist Ambiga Sreenevasan tweeted that if the girls were arrested, it would "traumatise them for the rest of their lives".
Organisers of the concert have apologised for the incident.
Despite the language barrier, scores of young Malaysian women and teenagers are ardent fans of heavily styled K-pop with its teen-idol groups, glossy hooks and meticulously choreographed dance moves.
Earlier in 2013, K-pop sensation Psy performed his 'Gangnam Style' megahit in Malaysia after being invited by prime minister Najib Razak's Barisan Nasional coalition, a move aimed at drumming up political support, according to some observers.

"This video shows how many of our (Muslim) girls are ignorant about our religion and do not know the boundaries..." said one Facebook user.
"The girls should be punished," another said.
A local Islamic group is claiming K-pop is part of a Christian agenda to infiltrate and influence young Muslims.
Amid the controversy, a satirical cartoon with Malay language captions appeared on Facebook, glorifying women who joined Islamic militants in Syria but condemning female Muslim K-pop fans as degrading the religion. It had received more than 13,000 likes by Wednesday afternoon.
While many condemned the girls' actions, others felt authorities were overreacting.
Prominent human rights activist Ambiga Sreenevasan tweeted that if the girls were arrested, it would "traumatise them for the rest of their lives".
Organisers of the concert have apologised for the incident.
Despite the language barrier, scores of young Malaysian women and teenagers are ardent fans of heavily styled K-pop with its teen-idol groups, glossy hooks and meticulously choreographed dance moves.
Earlier in 2013, K-pop sensation Psy performed his 'Gangnam Style' megahit in Malaysia after being invited by prime minister Najib Razak's Barisan Nasional coalition, a move aimed at drumming up political support, according to some observers.

JOHANNESBURG (AP) — South African authorities have re-established order — for now — in Soweto and other Johannesburg townships, after a week of looting of foreign-owned shops and violence in which four people were killed.
The 19-year-old mother of an infant who died after being trampled by a mob during the looting said she was accidentally caught in the street chaos. Some witnesses, however, said the mother was herself pillaging when she was knocked down with her baby strapped to her chest.
The dispute about the baby boy, Nqobile Majozi, echoes conflicting stories about what motivated some of the worst unrest in Soweto and nearby areas since protests swept the same districts before white racist rule ended in 1994. The casualty toll was higher during mass rallies and bloody, apartheid-era crackdowns, but the new upheaval raises concerns about anti-immigrant sentiment, the frustration of the poor and the government's handling of social tensions.
In a separate incident, a truck carrying livestock overturned on a highway in the Johannesburg area last week, and people carrying knives and buckets descended on the injured cattle and slaughtered nearly three-dozen for their meat, according to Eyewitness News, a South African media outlet. The driver alleged that people on a bridge threw objects at his vehicle, causing it to crash.
Such episodes reflect the predicament of South Africa, a regional hub with gleaming infrastructure projects where many people nevertheless feel marginalized by high unemployment, a lack of opportunity and a gap between rich and poor that is starkly visible in leafy, spacious suburbs, on the one hand, and the shacks and so-called "matchbox" homes of the townships where blacks were confined under apartheid.
Soweto came under the world's gaze in 1976 when it erupted in student-led protests. Parts of it are relatively affluent today, as malls, gyms and new homes attest. But poverty is still widespread. The violence there started Jan. 19 in an area called Snake Park when a Somali national allegedly shot and killed a 14-year-boy who was among a group of people attempting to break into his shop.
Crowds hit the streets, targeting immigrant-owned shops in riots recalling anti-foreigner violence in 2008 that killed about 60 people. President Jacob Zuma, who was attending the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, instructed his government to restore order. Police arrested more than 160 people. Several people had been fatally shot by this past weekend, when the unrest abated.
Zanele Majozi, the mother of the baby who died, said she came across a crowd looting a so-called "spaza" shop, a type of informal store where township residents buy basic necessities so they don't have to travel long distances to supermarkets and malls.
"I was watching them when a group of boys came running out of the shop with a crate," Times LIVE, a news website, quoted Majozi as saying. "One of them knocked me down and I fell on my baby. Two more ran over me."
But witness Phindile Shabangu said Majozi was caught in a stampede after emerging from the shop with eggs and drinks, and that the mother didn't even notice her baby's dire state while she was trying to pick up fallen items, according to Times LIVE.
"Blood was coming out of his ears, nose, mouth," Shabangu told the news outlet. "The baby was messed up."
Elsewhere, video footage showed looters loading stolen goods onto trucks, hopping over fences and ransacking shelves, sometimes in view of police. One clip showed a police vehicle parked outside a looted shop, and an officer apparently participating in the free-for-all. Also, schoolchildren attacked Pakistani-owned shops as they boarded a train for home, according to police.
A group representing immigrants said it believed the attacks were xenophobic and "not purely criminal," as some officials have said. The Consortium for Refugees and Migrants in South Africa urged the government to approve hate crimes legislation that it said would curb a culture of "impunity."
Prince Linda Dube, a 19-year-old Soweto resident, described immigrant shop-owners as "greedy," arguing that they undermine locally owned shops.
"They are taking job opportunities," he said. "It's better if they hire our local people to help them out."
